9-14-02 08:30 p.m. Witnesses notice Giovanni of space #191 with his brother and friends suspiciously standing near my antique light fixture (phone booth) attached to my home at space #124.

9-14-02 09:00 p.m. Witnesses return home at 9p.m. and notice hate crime language painted onto my antique light fixture. See photo of phone booth pictured above which shows:

"fagita" which means faggot
A sketch of a penis
"no dick"
M.F. which presumably means Mother F_ _ _er

9-14-02 09:45 p.m. Hate crime and damage to property reported to City of Anaheim Police by James Robert Reade, witnesses, and victims.

9-14-02 10:30 p.m. City of Anaheim Police finally arrive at the scene of the crime, write report (see yellow colored report below with number DR02-41467) and use their camera to take photographs.

9-18-02 01:54 p.m. Officer Detective Jim Saenz (see business card below) left me a voice message that he is investigating the incident which occurred at 11 p.m. and he contends that the witnesses did not see who did this.

9-19-02 12:25 p.m. I telephoned Officer Saenz and insisted the he amend the report to reflect that the hate crime occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. not 11 p.m. and amend the report to include the truth that suspects were provided by witnesses.

Hate Crime according to the Orange County Human Relations Commission is any criminal
act which is motivated by the victim's race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation,
gender, or disability status. Examples of a hate crime include: racist graffiti on
another's property, burning a cross on someone's lawn, beating someone, or using force
or threatening to use force to injure, intimidate or interfere with a person because of
his/her race, ethnic group, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status.

The derogatory graffiti on the three glass panels of my antique outdoor lighting
fixture qualifies as a hate crime according to Federal and local definitions.

Eddie a 17 year old boy was murdered for being gay. Three bay area men
have been charged with the murder under California hate-crime statutes.

This is the consequence of hate. In many cases murder is the end result of hate.

11-5-02 5:00 p.m. - James Robert Reade speaks before City Council public comments and offers a $5,000 reward for new information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the hate crime and hate crime graffiti at his home which occurred on Sept. 14, 2002 at 8:30 p.m.
